New Delhi: Through a recent notification, the apex drug price regulatory agency, the National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority (NPPA) has fixed the retail price of 44 drug formulations in combination with Paracetamol, Atorvastatin, Metformin, Vildagliptin and others under the Drugs Prices Control Order (DPCO), 2013, exclusive of goods and services tax (GST).
The formulations whose prices have been fixed by NPPA include Vildaphage M, Vildaphage M Forte, TENELIGAL-M1000, Glimiprex MF 3 & Duopil 3, Mactor CV 20 and other combination drugs.
Various drugmakers including Cadila, Lupin, Eris Lifesciences, Intas Pharma, Cipla and others are involved in manufacturing the said formulations under different brand names.
The formulations in the list are indicated to treat depression and anxiety, type-2 diabetes, painkillers, drugs to prevent heart attack, high blood sugar and others.
